George Moore Stakes Field

The George Moore Stakes field is usually comprised of a number of talented sprinters alongside a few that are slightly out of form or yet to make their mark on black-type racing. There will usually be a few decent runners in the George Moore Stakes field that haven’t rested for December, although most will be horses who are specifically targeting it in order to gain black type experience during the quieter months.

2017 George Moore Stakes Field

Like past years, the 2017 George Moore Stakes field will include a diverse assortment of runners. A few big Brisbane trainers have already expressed their interest in nominating a few horses for the 2017 George Moore Stakes field. If current indications are anything to go by, the George Moore Stakes field will have quite a bit of talent in it and should make for an interesting race.

2017 George Moore Stakes Nominations

The George Moore Stakes nominations often feature horses from very varied preparations. Some may be coming back to racing from the paddock and will enter the George Moore Stakes nominations as their first-up race. Others will have had plenty of racing behind them in the spring racing carnival and will continue straight through, possibly resting during the autumn. Some of the horses in the George Moore Stakes nominations, though, will have already had a couple of listed or non black-type starts in Queensland first up.
