Group 1 winner Temple Of Boom received a freshen-up following a lacklustre run in the Memsie Stakes (1400m) in Victoria in late August and has been included for a racing return in 2015 George Moore Stakes nominations.

Posting eleven wins and sixteen minors through 61 career starts so far, Temple Of Boom has been a strong and consistent performer for Tony Gollan since first appearing on course in early 2009, and undoubtedly produced his best effort to date when triumphant in the 2012 edition of the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m) in Sydney.

Posting a number of impressive results through a busy 2014 schedule, the Piccolo gelding returned this year for mid-pack finishes in each of the Group 2 Victory Stakes (1200m) and Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m); failing to fire in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) but capping his campaign fourth in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1350m).

Having finished third in the Group 1 Missile Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in his only other start prior to the Memsie, Gollan is pleased with the nine-year-old’s condition and is confident he is primed for a big first-up performance on Saturday.

Gollan has dominated 2015 George Moore Stakes nominations having included a total of six runners on Monday, including the likes of Fontelina and Whiskey Allround.

Placed in Group 1 company several times without managing to break through for a maiden win at the highest level, Fontelina began his racing career under the guidance of Anthony Cummings and has posted an impressive six wins and four minors through 32 career starts.

While yet to register peak form this time, the talented son of Testa Rossa is sure to have taken plenty of benefit from runs in the Listed Lightning (1100m) and Group 2 Salinger Stakes (1200m).

A Doomben specialist, Whiskey Allround is also yet to register winning form this year but is arguably offered his best chance to date in the 2015 George Moore Stakes.

Trainer Kelly Schweida has unearthed an exciting prospect in four-year-old Miss Cover Girl and has included the mare in 2015 George Moore Stakes nominations.

Miss Cover Girl has posted a commendable seven wins and five minors through sixteen career starts so far and has undoubtedly found career-best form to date through her 2015 campaign.

Returning for success in the IPG BM85 (1200m) on February 28th, the Monashee Mountain mare ran fifth in a Gold Coast minor over 1400m on March 24th before producing a career-best performance to win the Group 3 PJ Bell Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Day 1 of The Championships.

Continuing to impress through the Brisbane Winter Carnival, Miss Cover Girl has finished third in each of the Coke Zero Handicap (1050m) and Group 3 The Nivison (1200m) this time.

A capacity field of 16 is expected to be confirmed for the 2015 George Moore Stakes by midday, Wednesday.
